VM-ACA-CG-1: Visceral Manipulation: Advanced Clinical Applications for Common Gastrointestinal Issues - 1 seminar being heldFriday, December 15, 2017 – Sunday, December 17, 2017, in/near Seattle, Washington.

This advanced level workshop will strengthen the participant’s expertise in integrating Barral’s Visceral Manipulation techniques with common gastrointestinal issues as seen in the clinical practice. This class provides a deeper understanding of organ evolution, embryology, anatomy, and physiology.

The focus of this class (CG-1) is the abdominal organs including the stomach, liver and gallbladder. The participants will gain a deeper understanding of each organ including their associated membranes, ligaments, innervation, vascularization, spatial and functional interrelationships, and organ-brain connections.

Brain Reflexes, April 12-14, 2018

This class will address retained and reoccurring neonatal and general reflexes in children and adults.

You probably don’t know that when Dr Chikly met Alaya, almost 25 years ago, he was already working and teaching workshops on neurological development. Knowledge and circumstances have come together along with the advancement of brain techniques and it is time for Dr Chikly to teach this class.

Many children and adults have neurological disorders, learning disabilities or cognitive challenges. It has been found that those being tested have often retained reflexes or may have reoccurring neonatal / primary reflexes.

These reflexes should have been inhibited earlier in life. Children can keep their primary reflexes for longer than necessary for optimal development.

Neonatal reflex inhibition allows for more sophisticated neurological structures to develop and remain prevalent.

Adults can see the reoccurrence of these neonatal / developmental reflexes in many pathologies, including trauma, PTSD, Parkinson’s, stroke, dementia, etc.

Retained and reoccurring reflexes can create numerous neurological dysfunctions, learning disabilities and sensory integration dysfunctions.

In children, these primary reflexes can be found in learning disabilities, processing disorders / sensory integration dysfunctions, trauma, PTSD, cerebral palsy, ADD/ ADHD, problems with focus and concentration, vestibular integration issues, balance issues, poor postural control, social skills issues, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia / developmental coordination disorders, speech development disorders, speech language delays, auditory and visual processing, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome (trisomy), etc.

There are approximately 28 neonatal reflexes present at birth. We will go over a lot of these reflexes and more, including Fear Paralysis Reflex (FPR), Moro Reflex, Palmar Reflex, Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex (TLR) forward and backward, Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR), Spinal Galant Reflex, Pereze / Pulgar Marx Reflex, Rooting Reflex, Babkin Palmo-Mental Reflex, Crossed extension Reflex, Babinsky Reflex, Landau Reflex, Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (STNR), Amphibian Reflex, Parachute Reflex, etc.

In this class you will use specific and efficient manual therapy techniques to inhibit these primary / infant reflexes. Some inhibitory movement patterns can also be presented.'

LT2: Visceral Manipulation: Listening Techniques 2; An Integrative Approach to Evaluation seminar being held Friday, October 5, 2018 – Sunday, October 7, 2018, in/near Seattle, Washington.

In this course, you'll reinforce powerful "listening" skills. These palpation procedures help guide you to the proper manipulation site, indicate which body structures are involved, and identify the most efficient approach and amount of tissue engagement. You'll also practice listening to the body systems as they respond to your manipulations. This allows you to better understand how to apply corrective forces and follow the body's responses.

September 8, 2013, Woman, Her Cycle and Connection to Gaia: Looking at the Visibles and the Invisibles, at theWomen's Healing and Transformation Center in Abita Springs. In modern times, a woman menstruates an average of 37 years: that's about 480 cycles, or 2,500 days! And their partners, co-workers, neighbors and children experience it right along with them. It is SOMETHING WE ALLSHARE, yet don't share...to our detriment. Why do we leave unexplored this powerful rhythm within? A serious boater or beach comber would not think of being in or near the water without a knowledge of the tides.

This class was dedicated to connecting to the rhythms of this very important life event. This class is designed to look at this amazing bodily process in a new light, so that we can understand, connect, and empower ourselves and future generations. This class was inspired by the HBO show "Girls" to not let another generation of females go out in the world without exploring this very sacred aspect of our lives.
